Your Inner circle affects You. Anthony Robbins says that your income is determined by the five people you spend the most time with. They influence the life you live and your future. This is because as a group you share same thoughts, ideas and philosophies. Here are a few guidelines on being aware of the kind of people who are around you.
1. Limited Association.
Some people you can spend a few minutes with and not a few hours. Some people you can spend a few hours with but not a few weeks. In our daily activities we meet all kinds of people that we can’t avoid. Some are our relatives, others are our colleagues but they are not valuable to our lives and future. It is therefore advisable to spend limited amount of time with these people. Do not allow their limited philosophies to affect your dreams and aspirations. 2. Dis – Association. Dis – associating is making a firm decision to completely separate from those people who are toxic to your life. Dream stealers and dream killers are people whose minds are clouded with simple things that do not add value to their lives. These are people with stinking thinking and contaminated philosophies. They will cause you to drift away from your dreams and waste your precious time. 3. Valuable Associations. Valuable associations are powerful groups that empower you to achieve your goals. These are people who are going somewhere and they have big dreams to accomplish. They expose you to all sorts of valuable information from books, audio programmes, seminars, events and support groups. These are focused people who believe in personal development and improvement. These are the people you want as your inner circle. They are people you can build a dream team with because they understand the meaning of a successful life. They have a great understanding of what is the meaning of success in life. You can also Read,"4 Things That Make Life Worth-While." 4. Expanded Associations. After finding valuable associations and strong support groups, it is also important to expand your association. Find mentors and coaches in your area of expertise or career and connect with them. They have tremendous experience. You can cut short years of learning by listening to these valuable people. A mentor can hold your hand and guide you through the journey of success. He/she will not do it for you but they will be there for you when no one else can stand your crazy dream. Successful People Join Groups that are Bigger than Them. John Maxwell taught that if you find yourself calling all the shots in a group then you are in the wrong group. If you join a team of five and you are the least among them, then you have an opportunity to grow and learn. On the other hand, if you are the greatest, the five will be gaining from you and with time you will all be the same. When you outgrow a group, look for another group that can challenge you and help you grow more. CAUGHT YOURSELF READING ALL THE WAY TO THE END? WHY NOT SHARE WITH A FRIEND?
